Tiny Cupcakes by WaterGleam Tiny Cupcakes by WaterGleam
I used to hate making cupcakes because I could never make the cupcake base right. Now I figured out a way to avoid making a base by using a tiny paper liner that I make myself.

I'm free to frost and decorate now, but that most horrible thing about these cupcakes is that they make you so darn hungry!!!!!

Made with polymer clay and they reach up to 5/8" in height.

;o; I have the same problem with the cupcakes. The base NEVER turns out right. I've only made an acceptable cupcake (by my standards) once. TT__TT

Have you ever tried making a cupcake mold? Sometimes I see perfect cupcakes that are just bound to come from a mold hehe

Molds can always be an option, i guess, but I'd prefer not to use one. I like all of my pieces to be totally handmade by me every time. D:

I totally agree. Then you should stick to handmade pieces that are unique to how you make them, it gives it meaning and is much better anyways ^w^

Oooh, these look so delicious and so real! I'm drooling all over my keyboard. ;P

And what a nifty idea with the liners. I hate (and suck at) making cupcake bases as well, but since I can't make liners either, I'm pretty much stuck. :XD:

hehe, thank you. You have to find something you want to improve on and work at it with your own style. But the only thing that matters is having fun with what you do.^^

Welcome, welcome. :)
Of course - I may suck at cupcake bases, but I do 'em anyway 'cause I love making them. I love sculpting in general, but cupcakes are one of my favorite things to create.
