Sushi and Mochi by WaterGleam Sushi and Mochi by WaterGleam
I got into a Japanese cuisine mood and decided to make mochi rice cakes and sushi. Sushi is not hard to make at all, but it takes a lot of time.

The hardest thing about making tiny mochi? fffft.... Watching them roll off the plate.

Sushi: 10mm Mochi: 6-7mm

Made with Polymer clay.

My blog is the only place where I can flood pics, muahaha! Take a look for more pics [link]

What is the powder-stuff on the mochi? I have seen it quite a lot and I am wondering very much.

Cornstarch, on both real mochi and my clay mochi.

You can probably find mochi at a Japanese market. I hear they taste like marshmellows.

Actually, you going to have to search for that ceramic plate the sushi is on, I can't find it anymore on that site... o.o But any online miniature shop should have cute plates, like the one I mentioned. Just be careful, I accidentally shattered a glass cake stand yesterday after taking pics x3

I got each one at a different place. The cake stand was from a shop near my city, but the other two can be bought at a place called DeJoux Miniatures.
